Sacramental Preparation

Baptism: Parents wishing to have their child baptised are prepared individually by the parish priest and should contact the parish office in the first instance.

First Holy Communion: If your child is 7 years+ (School Year 3+), then they will be eligible to start their preparation for the Sacrament of Holy Communion. In our parish we take seriously the fact that ‘parents are the first and best of teachers in the ways of faith’ (Baptismal Rite). Our preparation sessions, therefore, help and inform the parents in how best to fulfil this responsibility, using the resources, help and guidance that we provide. Everything is centred and flows from the Sunday Eucharist, which is the source and summit of our Catholic faith. For more information, ring the parish office on 01752-701660.

Confirmation: Preparation begins in the autumn for those of our young people who are in School Year 7 and onwards, with a view to Confirmation during Eastertide.

For adults interested in becoming Catholics, please see the ‘RCIA’ page

Marriage: Contact the parish office in the first instance. The Smart Loving Course (https://smartloving.org/) is used to prepare couples in the parish.
